GREEN TEAM
Junior Competitive Team with Full Tower Access – By Coach Invitation
Motto: “I am going to dive in college!”
Schedule:
- 4-5 days per week
- Includes two gym days and two to three pool days, often with one or two tower sessions each month.
- One extra conditioning day per week (additional practices may be scheduled at the coach’s discretion).
- During colder months, one pool session may be substituted with dryland practice.
- Summer practices may be condensed to fewer days.
Benefits:
- Free participation in tower practices.
- Group size capped at the coach’s discretion for focused, small-group training.
- Direct training with the Head Coach.
- Coast Divers “National Team” suits provided to athletes who qualify for national meets.
Expectations:
- Participation in Junior Olympic (JO) meets on the club calendar, including qualifying and national-level events.
- Fulfillment of annual fees (due 9/1 each year).
- Fundraising, volunteer, and donation commitments (e.g., corporate donations, silent auction items, or as determined by the Head Coach).
- Payment of coaching and travel fees for meets.
Eligibility:
The Green Team consists of Junior Olympic divers, typically junior high and high school athletes. Selections are made at the coach’s discretion based on:
- Attendance
- Competitive dive lists for National JO and Senior competitions
- Commitment, attitude, and a willingness to learn
SILVER TEAM
Junior Olympic Team
Motto: “I would like to dive in college!”
Schedule:
- 2-3 days per week
- Includes one or two gym sessions and one or two pool sessions (additional practices at the coach’s discretion).
- One pool session may be replaced with dryland practice during colder months.
- Tower practices available at an additional cost per athlete.
Expectations:
- Participation in Junior Olympic (JO) meets, including qualifying and national-level events.
- Fulfillment of annual fees (due 9/1 each year).
- Fundraising, volunteer, and donation commitments (e.g., corporate donations, silent auction items, or as determined by the Head Coach).
- Payment of coaching fees for meets and tower practice costs.
Eligibility:
The Silver Team is composed of Junior Olympic divers, primarily junior high and high school athletes. Athletes’ attendance, competitive dive lists, commitment, attitude, and willingness to learn will be evaluated for potential advancement to the Green Team.
ORANGE TEAM
Novice Competitive (Developmental) Team
Motto: “I really like diving and want to maybe do it competitively!”
Schedule Options:
- Two Days Per Week: One pool session and one gym session (1 hour each).
- Three Days Per Week: A combination of pool and gym sessions, either:
- One pool and two gym sessions, or
- Two pool and one gym session (1 hour each).
Expectations:
- Participation in Novice events at Association and Invitational meets.
- Novice divers may choose to compete in Junior events if they can complete the required dive list for their age group. Once a diver participates in a JO event, they cannot return to Novice events.
- Fulfillment of annual fees (due 9/1 each year).
- Fundraising, volunteer, and donation commitments (e.g., corporate donations, silent auction items, or as determined by the Head Coach).
- Payment of coaching and travel fees for meets.
Eligibility:
The Orange Team is for divers of all ages who are part of the learn-to-dive program and are beginning to explore competitive diving.
Lessons Program
Schedule:
- One or two sessions per week (1 hour each).
Expectations:
- No annual fees.
- Fundraising and volunteer commitments apply.
